I just found out that Commissioner Telalian was there for "Shop With a Cop" and took kids around. What a guy!
To bad the Review didn't pick up on that. Either way, great cause. I heard many kids want to buy stuff for their families not themselves. Now that is holiday spirit! Shop With a Cop |

So it's not okay for a commissioner to go shopping with the kids? I don't understand you. Who do you like besides Tony? Why does anyone who adores Tony, think anything anyone else (whoever it might be) is out for publicity if they do something in the village? Did Marty do something mean to you somewhere along the line or has the Calderone telegraph contacted all his constituents and told them that Marty is evil? Just wondering why you don't like him.

in years past the mayor would show up at the end of shop-w-a-cop after
the kids were don and pose for pictures. interesting he did not come
this tme, i sure it was not his concience.

Hello,
I really didn't know much about "Shop with a Cop" until I attended the Forest Park Police Department event. I went to the event to support this community activity by the FPPD and to get better acquainted with some of our officers. I saw the reporter for the Review at the event and I intentionally kept my distance from him so as not to detract from the fact that it was a FPPD event. I was pleasantly surprised to be asked to escort a child and really had a great time shopping with her and helping her pick a present for her mother. I also had the opportunity to get better acquainted with some of our officers while shopping and over breakfast. I hope to be involved next year as well. It really is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and support a generous community activity by our police department. Regards, Marty |
