Out of bounds? Shirley, you jest.
Either you have the attention span of a gnat or you're forgetting something. Who went walkabout over the Golden Steer's wine list or lack thereof?
it's certainly possible i have the attention span of a gnat, but...
1) was talking to a urologist at Rush, got to diet and such - he said the cheaper wines cause damage to urology-type organs and to please avoid them.
i s**t you not.
1) one of our wine sellers in town loves the Steer, always brings his own wine to match that prime rib. (no cork charge)
appears the Steer is well aware that their wine choices don't match their food choices - and they're not insulted. Tongue

while this struggle is deep (third rail deep), i think i've had a slight insight - food, or a meal, is different for each of us.
above, dc said 'folks to there for the food.' apparently that is the draw for you, too, arne.

of course 'food' is an important part of every meal :) but apparently 'a meal' doesn't mean the same thing to all.
prime rib doesn't do a thing for me, altho would love a taste of yours. i often order an app  instead of an entree; eh, they're usually more interesting, to me.
i care about quality, salads, veggies, breads, soups, potatoes, water, wine - a lot of little things all together. that's a great meal, to me.
bon appetit :)
