Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder what our superintendent is doing deferring a decision tomorrow until 4 a.m.? The last time my office went to skeleton staff was for 1 afternoon in the early 1990s when the tunnels under the city were breached and power was out all over the Loop. We're operating with minimal staff tomorrow. Supt. Cavallo, make that call.

Glad to see it. My kids are well beyond school age, but I can remember the scramble in the morning when there was a last minute calculation: "It's your turn to stay home; but I have an important meeting,..." You get the picture.
