DesPlaines/Roosevelt incident/ shots fired

Police called to 7-Eleven store at 2:50 p.m., found a man who had been shot in
the neck. It is not clear whether the shooting happened inside or
outside of the store.
Reportedly had lost his cell phone and had been contacted by the shooter. The two
men arranged to meet at the store, to return the cell phone.
Instead, he walked up to the victim and shot him and reportedly attempted to rob him.
The shooter described as a black man in his later 20, six foot, heavy build, wearing a jan jacket, with a jerri-curl hair cut and a large face. He ran north bound on DesPlaines with two other people, one of which was a black woman in her 20s sporting dreadlocks.
The shooting victim was taken to Loyola Medical Center just after 3 p.m.
Police set up a perimeter and searched an alley a block north off Yuba Street, where witnesses said the three ran into.
