Would someone please help me out. I'm really trying to understand Jesse Jackson Jrs's mind.
The just indicted Jackson brushed off reporter's questions by saying he was "being prayerful."
Why is it, I'd like to know, that Jackson only seems to be "prayerful" when he's in a jam, and not when he's actually- what's the word?- yes, "sinning"? Like buying $43,000 gold Rolexes with campaign funds and pricey nights out with his mistress. $582,000 illegally spent in all ver the past six or seven years.
It would seem that that would be the time to pray, face to face with temptation. Not now. Too late, don't you think, Jesse?

(Jr. is charged with conspiracy, making false statements, and mail and wire fraud, according to court documents. Sandi Jackson is charged with filing false tax returns from 2006 to 2011.)

My apologies to Jr. It was Sr. who was being prayerful this time.
Still a good question for the Jackson family.

What I find a bit unusual is someone being diagnosed bipolar when approaching their 50's. Although the lavish spending of money, even not his own, can be an indicator of this illness.

The question in my mind? Since he's eaten these charges, do they now back-off any investigation into the buying of Obama's senate seat? Is that the plan? What can of worms might that have openned? We may never know.

I had the same thought. Are these charges an attempt to portray him as a rogue independent operator who's ambition for Obama's Senate seat was his alone? IOW, He acting like a whackjob, made the offer but nobody responded, therefore no further investigation needed?

OTOH, these charges may be used be pry cooperation out of both Jacksons on the senate seat investigation. Though with the reported plea deal, that's less likely.
It's a fair question for the media to put to the DOJ.

Btw, what Jackson did, with at least two other people- IF they did it- would constitute a conspiracy. And you don't have to have succeeded to be found guilty. Just have to make an overt act in an effort to further it.

What I find funny is JR seems to be unable to speak for himself.
