Emanuel “Chris!!!” Welch’s wife, Shawnte Miaundra Raines Welch is telling people she’s independent of her husband. Too voters, in mailers. 


Her own woman. An independent voice for D209. One intent on cleaning up the mess at Proviso high school left by, well, by her husband.


Funny thing though. When she shows up with her slate mates for public appearances, she sometimes appears to be all but wrapped up in Chris Welch’s flag.


Well, not his flag, just his banner and his State Rep table cloth with his name across the bottom. 


Odd behavior for an independent person who’s her own woman, dontchathink?
