Huh? The video posted by "David" was not a Backman video. It was from "The Doctors".

And perhaps Backman still tapes the vc meetings in case the vc decides they don't need no stinking recordings of their meetings. That way, he will have copies available.

Oh, I try not to put too much weight into anything "David" has to say. Just some Calderone smuck.

I would guess Backman was posting videos wearing his John Q citizen hat. That is his right, after all.

There a a few council meetings missing from the village website. Technical difficulties? Whatever. The Vox collection is complete.

The clips Steve posts on YouTube are snippets of council meetings. By definition, that's editing. The dog poop video was edited to only show Hotsy's deposits.

DW's point seems to be that the non-partisan shot council videos are subsequently available for private citizen Backman to "manipulate". Vox offers the complete meeting video to the public for a nominal fee. (Time + materials?)
It's a stretch, but that's the case he's presenting. Unless Steve is paying Vox for the videos, he shouldn't be free to post his edited clips?
If Steve isn't paying; then the Vox videos aren't non-partisan?

The point is that using MATC's own words against him through video clips is only done by those with hidden agendas and sinister intent. Letting people watch the Mayor doing his mayor thing without needing to endure the whole council meeting? Who does that?

Once the full recording is edited, it's tainted and should never be trusted.

I don't think Steve has ever denied his personal biases, which are his by right and experience. He's said, only, that the Vox organization itself is non-partisan and, in fact, has gone to great lengths to maintain that position. Any perceived bias in Vox's ongoing work is the direct result of the mayor's withdrawal and outright refusal to "engage". That is where partisanship enters. MATC and his "party", for personal and partisan reasoning, refuse to participate or in any way even acknowledge Vox as a community organization. At every opportunity they seek to marginalize and discredit Vox, the Review and these forums.

They project their own pettiness onto groups that believe in community as a means of control. IMO, that's pretty sick and unhelpful.

The ONLY one who can provide the needed answers refuses. Do you know MATC's "plan"? His "vision"? We just went through a campaign. Isn't that when such things are supposed to be spelled out for all to see?

Shouldn't our "leader" have some skills at communication? Something other than "I won! That make me right and everybody else wrong, eee-vil, despicable, uninformed, sinister, questionable..."

That's the only measurement that seems to concern our mayor.

@logic. iirc, Webb was moaning about a nasty but unaltered clip of mayoral bullying - Calderone on Curry. Webb wanted Backman to post some lighter moments of Tony Calderone :)

For David to show clips from VC meetings he would have to contact VOX, you can not download the VC vidios. It's one of the reason I continue to record, that way there is a record that is available down the road. It is something that comes back to bite them in the ass. I wish Steve would have shown the clip where Hosty told Marty that a sidewalk was not needed from 16th ave to 22nd.
